Seems to me the value of Vascepa is still an open question ......open in the sense that's its still being widely debated how far 4gms of Vascepa can go in treating various diseases ....and how beneficial it ultimately is in reducing risks of a CV event.
Take CV events .
The follow up studies presented by Dr Bhatt were the first to show the affect, on reducing 2nd, 3rd, 4th CV events
This was new .
Many CAD patients have multiple MI's . Now we know that if you stay on Vascepa your risk of follow up Mi's ( after your first ) declines significantly.
Many here are reporting additional benefits from taking V ....all will need to be explored possibly in partnership with another Co.
Take Viagra as an example of unexpected benefits
Pfizer was originally developing this drug for the treatment of high blood pressure and angina .
One of the side effects noticed by a nurse in the early trials were male erections ....I imagine that was a bit of a surprise.
I think there's still a lot to be discovered regarding Vascepa .
Doubt if AMRN will be handing it over any time soon despite what some here think.
