JL, your scientific posts are always most interesting and welcome. I note that the analysis of the bio-fuel contains a significant amount of calcium and magnesium, at least far more than I would expect. You would think that the metals would end up in the residual, that is, the fertilizer. Indicates to me that calcium is a major constituent in the catalyst, which seems to be consistent with other things I have read.

The other question is whether the calcium and other metals would have to be removed before using as a fuel in an engine? Would they have a long-term negative impact, maybe fouling sparkplugs?
