We can hope to some degree that the study protocol minimizes the differences that are generic, and focuses on 1:1 - everybody getting the same method of treatment(s), diagnosed consistently, treated consistently, and that the generic statistics are out of whack when apples are specifically compared to apples. A car wash is a car wash, same soap, same bubbles, same dryer... (provided there is a car wash)

To me, I have to suspect then that the differences will be diet and behavior, smoking, non-smoking, alcohol, HPV. ( and things like the conversation with Cotton - race related or not )

How dusty are the roads...

How much better is this surgeon than that surgeon ? How much better is this x-ray machine than that one ? How much better is this chemo than that chemo ? Isn't it the same chemo ?
