I'm trying to think of a more famous version of God Bless America to replace Kate Smith singing it.

I do think it is over the top trying to erase her rendition of it from the history books.

That said I missed Take Me out to the ball park during the 7th inning stretch. It was fine for a while after 9/11 and I'm sure no one will forget that day but I am a fan of tradition. I'll still listen to Kate on the 4th of July.

As for Harry I'm obviously familiar with him from back in the day.

Nothing could be sweeter when the Mets beat the Cubs at Shea late in 1969 and listen to the fans sing good bye Leo.
