One in the same. Bob Considine wrote a book about him and my dad is mentioned in the book.
Both Considine and Toots gave me an autographed copy which I still have.
It was the place to hang out back then in NYC for a lot of sports figures, writers and movie stars.
Considine would type his columns in my dad's office then have a courier run them down to the paper.
As I said Toots was Jewish but when the Pope came to town he would cater the meals for the Pope and run them over to St Patrick's.
The cooks and waiters were all union and members of the Teamsters. When the union threatened to strike in NYC Toots and my dad flew out to Chicago to get Hoffa to call off the strike. Toots told Hoffa you'll put me out of business if you strike.
