You are absolutely correct. In the United States, any company which is even remotely related to the Cannabis Industry can not have a bank account which is FDIC insured. Since anything and everything Cannabis related is still against the law on a Federal basis, no U.S. Bank will touch them, not wanting to run afoul of the Feds. That is why virtually every Cannabis company, even those operating within the U.S. are "headquartered" in Canada.

President Trump has indicated on more than one occasion that he is not opposed to removing the Federal regulations on Cannabis. Most hope he does.
