FB German WhatsApp users spread Nazi propaganda on platform, BuzzFeed says
German WhatsApp users are disseminating far-right propaganda through the use of stickers and chain letters but the platform appears to be doing little to stop it, despite local laws banning the use of Nazi imagery, BuzzFeed News' Karsten Schmehl reports, citing hundreds of uses of anti-Semitic or otherwise pro-Nazi stickers. Tens of thousands of messages have been sent among far-right users in nine WhatsApp groups that BuzzFeed monitored and among them have been symbols glorifying the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler, anti-Semitic images created using WhatsApp's "sticker" function, and messages looking to incite violence and threats against leftists or refugees.
