Ok, what if Anavex 2-73 “fails,” does not dramatically resolve cognition problems in the Australians presently taking the drug in the big trial down there? What if it only induces sound sleep (as it did and apparently still does in Alzheimer's patients in the early safety and tolerability study)?

Well, what if, because of improved sleep, the rates of Alzheimer’s patients requiring institutionalization were reduced by 25 – 66% by Anavex 2-73 treatments? Would anyone think that to be useful? Would any health insurance companies pay for such treatments? Would Anavex-induced sleep save any health-care dollars?
