Pat, the best plan to avoid a hostile takeover can't withstand a majority of dissatisfied stockholders (see TSRI and ultimately MKRS). Zeff has not bought any shares for awhile, nor have Insiders. Trading in general has been nearly nil, even with the news today of another pilot project.
The Board realizes that MKRS stock is in a constipated bind so they are buying back shares to keep the price artificially higher.
Positive earnings and no return on investment makes many unhappy common shareholders. When Zeff moves to buy more MKRS it can't be too soon.
Should I imply that MKRS is also artificially holding down Earnings Per Share by paying big salaries, bonuses, etc? It looks like TSRI was doing that, and so TSRI pulled a rabbit out of a hat in 2017 for a special dividend of $1 per share to assuage disgruntled investors. It was too little, too late.
I am holding MKRS long.
