I did this with my IRA trade account last week. Sold some stocks. Cash was listed as available even though it wasn’t “settled/cleared” yet. Was able to buy a few more shmp shares. If I tried to sell those newly purchased shares before the 3 day “clearing” period, I would have been penalized and my account frozen for 90 days.
