It was nice to see the mets pull this one this afternoon, but I got to say I thought this bullpen would be much better so far, it literally scares me every game.

Nice to see JD Davis hit 2 homers, And peter Alonso Hit his second, the kid can flat out hit, and has a good chance of being the NL ROY in my opinion. And conforto continues to hit as well.

If there is a negative here, Brandon Nimmo needs to wake up, they can't live long with a guy hitting leadoff striking out 17/26 AB that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Hopefully he will snap out of it because he does look lost up there right now. Although I believe he will.

This bullpen however is my primary concern at this point, every game they implode, today 5 runs in 4 innings, and the mets still hit enough to win, but that bullpen should be better than this in my opinion. I realize it is only like week 1, but the mets have had horrible bullpens a lot of years so to say I'm always skeptical of bullpens with the mets is and understatement, hopefully my concern is more just a worry of being burned in the past and this is a short-term blimp, my brain tells me this bullpen should be decent, my eyes tell me warning disaster imminent when I watch it. Having said that 6-2 is a pretty good way to start even if I think the manager is one of the worst managers in the game I guess.
