I am very lucky on healthcare though... pay $160 a month for basically the best plan Cigna has (unfortunately it was $115/mo last year...) ... Cigna Open Access Plus (PPO on steroids), $500 deductible, $2,500 max out of pocket. No co-pay for preventative care. 100% co-insurance, $250 ER visit, RX schedule is $15 / $30 / $75. Vascepa is under the $75 tier.

Much better deal at $115/mo but at $160 still not too shabby.



This is dramatically unfair. I am self-employed. I am a healthy and in my early 40s. I pay $780 a month for a garbage HMO plan with $5000 deductible. I literally have to pay about $20,000 out of pocket before insurance covers everything.

I have a self-employed friend who is paying nearly $3000 a month for his family of 5.

Ridiculous.
