Let’s start a campaign to get the media to report that the FDA is planning on permitting CBD into the food supply, and that the FDA working group tasked with creating a framework to legalize CBD in the food supply is due to give their recommendations to Congress this summer, so that Congress can pass legislation to legalize the use of CBD in the food supply ASAP

The FDA is literally racing to get this done — they’ve never even done anything like this before and they are in a huge hurry to get it done — the FDA says that normally this type of rulemaking would take 3-4 years but they are going to complete this work in only 3-4 months

The only rationale for such a quick turnaround is that Congress wants to put this framework into legislation ASAP so that both the FDA and the USDA’s regulatory framework are completed in time for the 2020 growing season

And the FDA has agreed to work on Congress’ tight timeline to make this happen
