I think some of this is just the beginning I like to write more general comments, to write notes during hollywood week is difficult, because of the rapid fire of contestants and it is somewhat hard to follow if people you watched get through, or get eliminated with the sheer numbers, and hard to track contestants overall from round to round. So it make it difficult to take notes in my opinion.
Now this week it will be top 40 solos I believe hence it will just be one round, where we get down to a top 20 so I think this should be easier to follow, and in general the singers as a whole should be better which will help. I think part of the reason why is it is such a chore, is (a) there is a lot of medicore/below average contestants that still need to be eliminated during this week. (b) It hard to keep track of people because of the quantity and the speed they go at from round to round. (c) More drama is involved and less focus on the singing which based on the way the competition is set up should get better this week, an improve the following week. In fairness though you bring a group of people together, competiting for limited spots, and basically give them no sleep, and some people are sick when they come, and it spreads through the room, you are gonna get some drama.
Anyways I'm looking foward to this week as it get serious. Oh by the way with the 3 rooms, we new the third room was safe when the 2nd one was eliminated because we knew in the beginning that one room wasn't safe, and unless the judges got hit by a 2x4 making the decision room 2 had to be the choice to go. I mean 1 was where most of the best singers were, but 3 had some decent one as well, but was a bit hit or miss. Anyways I will probably post my review of tonight's show tomorrow or tuesday. I think in the beginning though up until this week it is a chore to write anything more than general comments because of the reason I gave above in my opinion.
