The ADA IMO could not have been anticipated...I'm not even sure the FDA is going let this stand



The FDA has absolutely no role in dictating what medical societies put into their guidelines.

There are many, many instances of drugs being included in guidelines that do not have a formal indication for the recommendation. Look at ceritinib and lorlatinib for ROS-1 positive NSCLC, or furosemide for reducing heart failure mortality...or a million other examples.
