As someone who is also a Microsoft APP developer myself I was able to discuss the Verb press release as well as get some information about my APP development process in advance of a meeting with people very interested in mine. The various resources and possibilities available to VERB mentioned in the PR, I was told are available to me or any other APP developer who cares to go through the simple sign up process and, yes it is an agreement between the developer and Microsoft, but MS may not even be aware of you or your agreement with them. You can look up and see Verb is on the MS APP developer list and and so am I. Of course, the rep I spoke with could not address details of VERBs APP development, such as how far along they are with it, as I am not part of that development team, at this point. He said the possibilities listed in the press release “could possibly come to pass”, but that Microsoft would not be marketing the product, as in all cases an APP developer with an embedded APP has to market the product through re-sellers. So if you thought one could buy any of the products off the shelf or from Microsoft directly with the Verb interactive video embedded that will not be the case. Verb will have to sell it through their store (they could throw in a free tee shirt or coffee mug) or elsewhere. He went on to say that even if this PR was done to simply draw attention to Verb and give it some exposure and the integrations never take place, it also gives Microsoft exposure so whatever happens is a win-win for them. Great APP development program and support in any event.
