NEWS RELEASE - BCSC AND BARRICK GOLD SECRETLY DEFENDING AGAINST LOPEHANDIA AND MOUNTAINSTAR-2016-2019

March 20, 2019 —Vancouver, BC - Mountainstar Gold Inc. ("the Company" or "Mountainstar" or "MSX") is pleased to provide an update on legal activities in Chile as follows:

From 2016 until present, the British Columbia Securities Commission ("BCSC") has been secretly defending (spending BC tax payers' money) on trial C-29.407-2016. This trial is called "Lopehandia Cortes, JORGE RODRIGO against Minera Nevada SpA and the BC Securities Commission".

Both Compania Minera Nevada SpA ("CMN SpA"), Barrick's Chilean subsidiary, and the BCSC did not focus on making good on their allegations against Mountainstar ("MSX") at the BCSC hearing in 2018. Their focus was to put MSX and Brent H. Johnson out of the public markets by representing that the hearing in 2018 was against Mountain-West Resources ("MWR"), a company that has not traded on the TSX since 2012. The BCSC's only way out was to set aside the trial and charges, mainly on matters of jurisdiction of the Chilean judges. Peter J. Brady, Executive Director of the BCSC filed as a defendant in Chile via the Chilean Consulate in Vancouver on July 6, 2018.

In betrayal to MSX shareholders, his own employer and the government of BC on July 11, 2018 via his counsel, Steve Zolnay, Peter Brady failed to tell the truth to the panel of Chairwoman Judith Downes. Zolnay stated "the International Subpoenas (trial C-29.407-2016) against the BCSC does not exist as it is a fiction of the imagination of Mr. Lopehandia". "It was never received by or delivered to the BCSC". "In any case, it is irrelevant to this hearing". All of this is false.

MSX affirms that the BCSC was not telling the truth. Please read the attached Power of Attorney by Peter Brady (English on the right hand side) granted to his Chilean counsel and endorsed July 10, 2018. Mr. Brady had the legal duty to stop the hearing against MSX and had to refrain from making false charges by July 11, 2018.
