Guess it's up to the FDA to try to slow the scam down. While awaiting the reply as to why they are marketing a "drug" or supplement with unsubstantiated claims, they might look into the claim by Nutra got an Orphan drug designation for their cobra venom product. It doesn't seem to be in the FDA Orphan drug database.

Orphan drug status usually isn't applied for, and granted until Phase 1 clinical trials have been completed. Although in theory it can be applied for after pre-clinical tests have been run. At any stage of development the FDA will look at the company's expenses incurred. Granting orphan status only if their is evidence, it is required to recover development costs. Doubtful if this scam even would have pretended to run pre-clinical tests.

Basically Nutro attempted PR about something that doesn't exist, with a bogus Orphan drug claim to boot.
