SHMP's electrocoagulation ras system kills pathogens. Any comment to the contrary is both unscientific and confused. Electrocoagulation, in fact, has been used to do this with waste water, with surgical equipment, and other applications. SHMP simply patented the first to use in a recirculating system growing shrimp, soon to be applied to other species. They use the terminology vibrio suspension and make their claim, as in their patent, on their webpage, and as tested by proof of a healthy batch of shrimp at harvest approved by the TWPD...if you have ever raised fish, even as a hobby, you know they quickly die in infested water or chemically contaminated water...the mortality rate of these shrimp numbered under 10 %, way lower than in ras systems in use up to now, mainly dependent on biofloc.
