I'll give you one good (and in my opinion the only reason) why this happens.

We've been "funded" from the start from the same group/individual/company, and in order for that one "entity" to not become a majority stakeholder, they've dumped their holdings immediately, yet retained warrants (representing no ownership yet).

The entity provides the funding, exits, and spreads the new shares out to the general public. Again, holding the warrants.

That's why the leadership is always drumming up interest in the post funding buying, and not too much beforehand.

* Frankly, I never understood why whomever bought this deal would want to sell ASAP for the quick profit but that concept is what it is. I guess they would rather have a 40 cent profit and FREE warrants rather than a $96 profit on 7m shares and 7m warrants (inside of 2 years) ? LOL - GLTA
