This the interesting part of the article: "Pixelmags
A key feature of Pixelmags’new Readr App for IOS devices is the company’s AnyTime technology which Gives users 20 minutes of free reading time a month for browsing titles from participating publishers.New users also receive seven days of unlimited reading as a free trial.“AnyTime provides a real newsstand experience, just like standing at the grocery store and flipping through issues,” said Ryan Marquis, PixelMags’ founder and chief operating officer.A full subscription is priced at $9.99 per month for unlimited access to the PixelMags library. More than 300 publishers, representing close more than 680 titles, are participating in the Readr program, including Source Interlink and American Media. Publishers’ compensation is based on time spent with their content, which PixelMags measures down tothe second. After Apple and PixelMags each takes its 30% cut of the subscription, the remaining 40% is divvied up to publishers based on time spent in each title."
