I remember at the end of last year the surgeon general putting out this exact same statement. Icing inflammation prevents blood from rushing to the area injured and does not reduce inflammation, the cold instead just reduces the pain from the injury.

DO NOT USE ICE ON THE INJURY WHILE USING ACTIPATCH. IT WILL NOT HELP HEAL IT FASTER.
