RCKS - a long-time buddy and I spent 3 weeks in September some years ago at Berdeen Lake in the North Cascades National Park.

The Superintendent of the Park sent us via snail mail
the route two back country rangers had taken on their way back
out of the Lake after being helicoptered into the area

this geologist states the region was the location of an
ancient ocean ...

I am thinking of a solo trip into the area again,
because my backpacking buddy has experienced too many
injuries mountain biking, etc and his body is not
up to these kind of outings any more ...
maybe I can talk my daughter into joining me.
