Have I mentioned this before? I'd love to see a study on how investors do with their first stock or their first year in the market. Never seen one. But I'm certain most brand new investors get killed by Mister Market.

Seems new investors should have to sign off that they know they are probably going to do dreadfully at first. Rookie golfers, for example, tend to know that. Why don't new investors?

Over the years I've seen suggestions, mostly in jest, that investors should have to pass tests and go thru an apprenticeship. Like truck drivers or CPAs. Reality is, MOST investors get better with experience.
