I remember Buffett said that his 2 rules of investing are - 1) Don't lose money, and 2) Don't forget rule #1.

Over the years I made about all the mistakes you can make, and learned the hard way to be conservative. If you want to take bigger risks, do it with a very small % of the portfolio. I figure it's best to leave the fancy stuff to the pros.
