Most active fund managers use charts mainly to facilitate the timing of trades. In contrast, my goal with these buy/hold ETFs is to never trade, other than to remove the occasional stock that is blowing up, which happens but not very often.

Buy/hold of good steady growth stocks is the simplest approach there is (other than broad index investing). These stocks are 1) already in very long term uptrends, and 2) are in stable areas of business, and 3) have proven good management (1,2,3 confirmed by their excellent 10 year chart). So the odds of their success continuing is high, and the occasional blowup is mitigated by having 29 other great growth stocks in the ETF.
