AMT exemptions phase out at 25 cents per dollar earned once taxpayer AMTI hits a certain threshold. In 2019, the exemption will start phasing out at $510,300 in AMTI for single filers and $1,020,600 for married taxpayers filing jointly (Table 4).



Isn't this the paragraph that applies though? Maybe I just reversed my the meanings for phase in and phase out.

What I mean is that once a single person hits $510,300, they start losing deductions by the time you hit around 780,000, all of your deductions are lost.

Right? I'm not a tax expert.
