"Toshiba has developed a new lithium-ion battery that can be rapidly charged and has a long life"
"According to the report, the new lithium-ion battery developed by Toshiba is used to charge the battery negative electrode by using a rare metal "niobium" as a material to achieve high capacity"
"...to jointly develop niobium-titanium oxide (NTO, Niobium Titanium Oxide's cathode material for lithium-ion batteries aims to develop a next-generation lithium-ion battery material for electric vehicles that has high energy density and can be rapidly charged."

Why am I posting this? Does anyone know what the new "magic" ingredient is in 106C?
Yes, its Niobium! Toshiba's NTO material for the new battery electrode is their equivalent of LQMT 106C. Huawei is working on developing their own batteries for electric cars. 106C may be part of that development. I think Li has much bigger plans for 106C than just CE.
