Where in the body is the Microbiome Organ located? Or is this a new name for the appendix?

I'm not saying this is a good investment since I know nothing about it, but as someone who is working right now on the "microbiome organ" I don't have a problem at all with them calling it that. In many ways it has all of the functionality of an organ, and in fact it is sometimes referred to in the literature as an organ.
