Josh posted this patent recently from Apple about a folding display electronic device that uses memory shape amorphous metal (BMG).

Apple also recently released another patent for an electronic device with folding display, but this patent calls out “Nitinol” as the supporting material. This is a metal of half nickel half titanium. Much more expensive and difficult to work with plus allergy/health concern of nickel. It seems odd to do this but they do put many patents out to cover anything and everything. We will see if they play ball with Li now or continue on their decline.
