I don't agree with you in this part. If laymen can invalidate technical patents, it would be too hard for patent owners to protect their technical properties. Other companies can bribe some judges to invalidate the technical patents which they want and use the technology without paying anything, then billions of dollars will be gone for the patents owners just due to the decision of laymen.
