Hi Allen, Re: Termvest..........
My brother was quite taken by Twinvest, AIM and all when I first introduced
him to it. At the time (early '90s) he had clients who were rolling over
jumbo CDs from the '80s that had been paying double digit interest.
Dropping several hundred grand into the stock market when a CD rolled over
was daunting for his clients. They were mostly fixed income retirees (he
lived in Florida) and didn't feel they wanted to risk too much, too fast.
"Termvest" was his answer for this dilemma. His clients loved it. They
averaged into the markets over usually 12 or 24 months and were all set for
his using AIM to manage the accounts thereafter.
George died in 1995 while on vacation in Italy with his family. He had a
good head for numbers and a seasoned sense for risk.
