NWBO posted a paper on Direct that noted that OS correlated with the number of treatments given the patient.

Problem is, it should be obvious that length of time the patient does anything will correlate to OS. If you drink grapefruit juice every morning, then the number of glasses of grapefruit juice you drink since being diagnosed will correlate to OS.

So Adam F was mocking the NWBO stat on the Direct trial by asserting that grapefruit juice drinking in the morning would show the same.

Subsequently it mutated into a general mockery.
