I talked to my broker a few days ago and he said if you have a margin account they are allowed to borrow to short them. My shares are in IRA and cash accounts and can’t be borrowed, but a sell order can be placed high enough to lock my shares on both accounts if I want. Maybe place a sell order in your margin account at $10 ps?
