Thanks Chemist2. Do you know if you can do this backdoor thing up until April 15 for the previous year just like normal contributions to IRAs?

Also I think according to this Jomama had it correct. My son makes too much money to contribute directly to a Roth and I think the limit for traditional is 6K. His company has some kind of 401K.
