I agree with that philosophy along with IRAs to reduce the tax burden and obviously real estate.

I have never touched the equity in our house as much as my wife wanted to trade up to a bigger house. Then I would have had to hire a maid since neither one of dusts.

But the point of the article is that people who have the opportunity to have a 401K don't take advantage of the free money that comes along with it.

Since I have access to the payroll for our company I'm constantly amazed how the 401K options are under utilized. We match 100% up to 6%.

That is free money.
