All those questions will be answered in Harvest Report...they are having a longer growth period because the high survival rate has caused greater density resulting in a slower growth rate. Interesting. In any case, imports of shrimp into the US alone is down in 2019 significantly because of the high level of contamination found in a lot of the imported shrimp. The new RAS patented system by SHMP that took years to develop and many trials to get this stage, using electric current technology, which only costs pennies a day to operate, destroys ammonia levels and bacteria. This is important for farm to table FRESH shrimp they are producing. And the next stage is opening facilities in the NY, Las Vegas, and Chicago areas. THIS IS BIG FOLKS. Plus they can license this technology to many smaller businesses for not just shrimp, but fish farming, lobster, clams, etc. I think the price per pound will be something like 10 to 12 dollars a pound wholesale, making them very competitive for quality shrimp...if you want to look at the size now, you should go to their facebook page...they have been selling to locals and you can see what they look like...nice shrimp cocktail size they seem to me. They also mentioned the size/weight they want them to reach before harvesting, in answer to your question.
