Survivor,

Are you familiar with the French phrase fait accompli?

It is truly unfortunate when the result of medical progress for the herd results in very poor outcomes for a few individuals. I have not witnessed GBM, but I have seen a young man, at the time I thought he was old, but in fact he was probably in his young sixties. Well, he had testicular cancer, and the treatments which gave him some very nasty fungal infections where no man should have them (ladies you may understand). The thing is that the team did their best, removed his manhood, went all Incredible Hulk on his nether regions, but unfortunately about a year later it came back. This time not in his junk, because there was no more junk in the trunk, but instead it metastaticized to his brain. For the next six months, he was not the person anyone knew, not his family, not his friends, and not even his medical team in training. In the end he could not stop hitting his head on anything he could find. So there he lay when I last saw him, restrained, speaking jibberish, refusing to die painlessly or with dignity as his three fully grown daughters wept uncontrollably with their mother. About the saddest damn thing I ever saw.

Would you pick up the phone for some research kid? If so, then you are a better man than me.
