I'd recommend stop playing around with your hip playing racquetball, otherwise you're going to keep doing more damage to it than necessary. Get plenty of rest, good nutrition, and if it hurts don't do it. Otherwise you're headed for a hip joint transplant.

The Ibuprofen and cortisone are OK if not abused. Your liver can repair itself if tissue is not destroyed over 60 percent. A rule of thumb for pain killing drugs (Ibuprofen) or cortisone is if you take them for say 6 weeks, you need to take 6 weeks off of them.
