The tank was stocked with twice the density to produce 6000 lbs in a 65000 gallon tank expecting 45/50% mortality. A problem devloped when the tank became too crowded from low mortality. The shrimp growth rate slowed. SHMP has since made adjustments to the system. The harvest was predicted to be in early December but has been extended until reaching an average of 21 grams. Harvest will happen soon. Three weeks ago the average was 18 grams
The mortality and predation issues have been solved.
