I hope you're right. One thing that I know: baseball has lost it's mojo over the past few seasons. I'm not liking the look of this next contract negotiation, and I fear for the changes that could come into effect all in the name of keeping MLB cashed up.

Baseball's calling card as an entertainment has been its consistency and tradition. It'll never compete with the fast-paced entertainments that the 21st century internet world will spawn. Trying to rev up the game to this end will only diminish it.
