Had a possible family of buns coming daily to the back deck, most times of the day/night. Even started to come to the deck patio door and sit and watch me. Started not even to leave the deck when I put out bunny pellets and hay.
But, I fear I lost my buns last week from three days of 20 below at night and 0 degree days. They haven't been here since last Monday at the start of the worse stretch of cold. Actually 3 nights of minus 15 over night nothing over 5 degrees during the day. Last Wednesday was 26 below zero.
Had I known how nasty it was going to get, I would have run out and bought some cage traps and brought them in for the week.

I have an enclosed yard, so bunnies are the extent of my big game watching.

I feel very sad. None of this bothered the big fat blue jays. And I'm sure they couldn't give a beak about the buns.
