I've never talked to Steve, but my stance is, he had to be more desperate than dumb to get involved. My guess is that he's just about as greedy as any of them.
For anyone who defends Steve, answer me this one question....why didn't you go after the position of President (or whatever title he gives himself)?
The very first piece of information Kevin put out and his talk of bringing in Frizzell took me about 10 minutes of investigation to determine it was merely one more piece of the scam.
The bottom line has always been here, greedy people with a desperate need to hit a jackpot. Then, when the jackpot wasn't there, they blamed everyone else for their mistake. It's comparable to buying a lottery ticket then swearing the lottery was rigged and everyone deserves to win it. Well actually it's even worse, because most bought AFTER they knew the company wasn't legit, but were convinced the government would be forced to pay them anyway. So it's more like being a part of the rigging of the lottery, learning that you were duped by bigger, more greedy people than yourself, then crying that you're shocked and someone should be forced NOT TO PAY YOU BACK WHAT YOU LOST, but a huge jackpot as well.
It's actually a lot like voting for Bernie Sanders.
