Most invested in the idea hoping to get rich. Very few knew more than that.

Excellent point. However, many of us invested because we THOUGHT we knew a lot more than we really knew. We believed the hype that was fed us by various executives at the company. Giving some of them the benefit of the doubt, they may have based their hype on honest hopes and dreams of their own... rather than sticking just to the facts: which was actually their fiduciary duty to stick to.

I want to believe that “this time it’s different.” I want to believe that Prof. Li is the real deal and that he is seriously working hard to make this company successful; and I have many logical (and hopefully factual) reasons to support my belief. The only caveat is that I could, and did, say the same thing many times in the past when I questioned my decision to stay invested. And each time my beliefs proved to be unfounded.

One can only make the best decision possible at the time the decision is made. Whether or not it was the right decision can only be determined at some time AFTER the fact.
