What are they waiting to hear? Personally, between past communications and the last PR, I currently am not in any need for a progress report, but I am more patient than most. That may change in 6-10 weeks, but for the time being I don't need to be spoonfed every time the company seals a barrel of oil when they specifically indicated the date it was occurring.

I'd be curious to see the exact text of the e-mails that have been sent to Sam et al, because it is historically clear to me that few people know how (or are willing) to communicate to companies with a tone of deference, respect and relevance that would open up the doors of communication to management and IR types who are barraged by all kinds of e-mails and phone messages all day long. It also helps to own a lot of shares for more than a few weeks, but sometimes that's the less fair part of the game people aren't willing to accept.

Regardless, I find that there is a direct correlation between a poster's politeness and resourcefulness in these threads and the success of their communications with the companies or individuals they seek information from. Simply put, management is more likely to respond to someone who they perceive to be supportive of the company and their long term vision rather than contentious and impatient.

Another thing that I find amusing is that some people who complain about not having access to any information don't know how to network or play the game in order to get that information. This is the most essential part of due diligence that so many either overlook or ignore. Ultimately they wind up shutting the very doors they need to open because their egos are too inflated or suspicions too irrational. And ultimately they wind up on the outside looking in and lose confidence and patience in their investment.

Anybody's best research on a company or best leads for researching a company come through getting to know people who know more or have better access to resources than themselves. I can list many companies I had no contacts with initially, but got my foot in the door, established relationships with IR, salespeople, private financiers, etc., received invites to trade shows and conferences, etc. As you might imagine this opens up the doors to a lot more information than you get from PRs and 10Qs. I'm not always successful when I try to go it alone.

I'm not saying that is where you're coming from, it's just an opinion I've formed based on reading how people come across in these threads.

Regards,

Rick
