China's Didi just announced a new joint venture to work on electric and hybrid vehicle projects

here is more competition for Tesla in China to come. China doesn't mess around. They want to be a super power just like the US. Its government will do whatever it can (even supporting companies if they need help) to try to make that goal come into a reality.

China is powerful. According to this article:

Didi Chuxing, China's largest ride-hailing company, said Monday it had entered into a joint venture with an affiliate of state-owned autos holding company BAIC.

We need to realize that someday China might become extremely advanced in terms of technology and to become a super power just like the US. China's government is supportive of its people and businesses. Thanks.
