Yes, I do remember Li’s response to your question. I still believe we will be there before your birthday and we may have been delayed with the trade war. I believe Li is a man of his word but things do happen.

The thing about him laughing was I thought he wasn’t sure how serious you were about the question. It was like you were giving him “the business”, but really wanted to know what the hell is taking so long. I thought Li was a least personable and funny. Hope to be laughing with him all the way to the bank.

The other thing about Li that I remember (besides my IHOP flub) was that he did mention how Trump wanted to bring manufacturing back to the US. I kind of just dismissed it as small talk but lately I’ve been wondering if there was something more to it.
