Who cares? Why do people watch American Greed or crime mysteries? Are they motivated by 'doing good'?
I'm nott. I'm here because it's fun and inneresting. And I learn alott from DD Frawed Bored posters and from the variety of scamming methods in pennyscams.
And I severely dislike crooks and criminoles.
Butt I have always maintained that nobody can save fools from thmselves. If one causes a pennyfool to avoid one scam, that pennyfool will ultimately lose their munny in some other scam, be it a pennyscam turdstock, a Ponzi scheme, real estate, buying crap like timeshares, or to some stoopid informercial (like the dude who says to place really small classified ads in local newspapers) or to a televangelist.
Or buying gole rims for they hoopty.
Munny moves from foolish hands to smart hands. Munny (or more correctly, capital) goes where it is treated best and is most productively and wisely used.
Which is why there will always be a large fraction of people who are a payCzech or two away from brokeass-hood.
Foolish 'investors' will always find one way or another to lose their munny. It cannot be prevented. Some will learn by experience and pain, butt most won't learn, they'll keep flushing their funds down one get-rich-quick pipedream after another.
