I wholeheartedly agree. That is exactly what the FDA SHOULD be doing. However, I can't seem to get a few past debacles out of my head. Think Vioxx, direct to consumer drug ads, double blind clinical trials being administered by companies with financial ties to FDA executives, and the fact that the many FDA executives leave and go to executive positions within numerous Big Pharma companies. I hope you are right.
