My view of Apple and LQMT is this:

When Apple got spanked by GT Technologies and their sapphire glass debacle; any hopes of utilizing similar innovative technology went out the window. And because of that situation, Apple changed direction and using BMG's was left behind--along with many other new, ground breaking technologies (all those little companies Apple would buy up quarterly but are now forgotten).

So today Apple is not the company Steve Jobs wanted it to be. Although, many people still really want to think of it that way.

Today's Apple is a follower, not a leader. Case in point, the Vivo Water Drop and the new Turing phones.
